Two blogs, five countries, and a whole lotta bloggin’

I’m so proud of the people I work with that I had to share a couple of recent productions we’ve been working on this year (ironically, working for a blogger, for bloggers and photographers means I rarely get to blog over here or take many photos….but hey I love my job!)

It’s even more amazing when I reflect on the fact many of us are working from home – all around the world in different time zones- yet professionalism is second-to-none, we are able to reach millions of people each month on Digital Photography School and create what I’ve heard described as “world class” events for hundreds of bloggers each year.

Online video course for photographers

online course about photographySo firstly… to a new product by Neil Creek who has created our very first online video course based on his ebook “Photo Nuts and Bolts.” I know I’m biased but I learned heaps watching these ten videos – he’s done an amazing job describing an often technical subject quite clearly. You can grab a sneak peek over here http://bit.ly/photonutsbolts

Yes, we’re still creating ebooks, but it’s exciting to see a whole new photography product on the dPS shelves. Congrats Neil and the team who created a whole new course platform for this release.

ProBlogger Training Event

Secondly, we’re putting on Darren Rowse’s SIXTH ProBlogger event – up at the Gold Coast again this year (this time at RACV Gold Coast)

I’m thrilled that Yvonne Adele and Mick Russell put together this short video of last year’s event…letting the attendees share their thoughts!

With Laney Galligan and Nicole Avery at the helm – arranging many details of the event and creating a great program, it’s going to be another inspiring year.

Two of the International Keynote speakers have already been announced – Heather B. Armstrong from Dooce (named by Forbes Magazine as one of the 30 most influential women in media) and Pamela Wilson — of Big Brand System and Copyblogger Media. Tickets go on sale in a few weeks….more details here.

Like I said…sometimes I have to pinch myself that these products are put together by a team who work from home, and that I get to be part of it.
You gotta admit…the internet is pretty amazing…

And sometimes it happens on mobile phones waiting for the bell to ring, or in pyjamas, or just wherever you are whenever you’re needed. The internets is awesome ;)

  • It is amazing isn’t it?? It is a pleasure and inspiration working with the team.
