Community Blogging is a fabulous new project from Nicole Avery aka PlanningQueen from Planning With Kids, along with Kathy from Play, Eat, Learn, Live, Kate Pickle, Marita from Stuff With Thing, Amanda from A Permanent Flux, and Shae from Yay For Home.
Nic recently wrote about how the idea eventuated.
At the Problogger event in Melbourne 2011, I was lucky enough to sit in on the session presented by Richenda Ghebrial-Ibrahim from World Vision. Richenda’s presentation made me think further about how I could use my blogging for social good. A key message in her session was as bloggers we had a connection with an audience who trusted us – if we recommend a not for profit organisation, our readers are far more likely to listen and take action, than if they see a message from the not for profit themselves.
So after one fabulous trip to Los Angeles to attend Blog World Expo, I asked some local Melbourne Bloggers to join me in creating an event using on our blogging connections to support local community groups. And we have created a Community Blogging Christmas Event.
Congratulations Nic and everyone else on getting this group up and running. There are only 8 places left if you’d like to attend this Melbourne event. I can’t wait to see how this idea grows even further.

Thanks so much for sharing the event Jasmin, really appreciate your support!
