Sand and soul

Sand.

Soul.

Space.

That’s my 7 year old sitting next to some driftwood, around 8 in the morning last Saturday. Me, I’m the one taking the photo before putting my phone back into my pocket until we walked back, so that I appreciate the rest of the moment with him. I still like looking at this (Instagram enhanced) photo. I love capturing these moments. I hope I will always remember them.

Love that photos – gorgeous! Our boys love the beach as well…I know what you mean…I hope the good moments are remembered forever!

I don't really consider myself to be 'a creative person'. I don't draw or paint, or write poems. I even struggle to be imaginative in the kitchen. But as a marketing copywriter, I have to be creative for my clients. I signed up to Wonderwebby's Tiny Letters as I was starting to recognise the importance of taking time out to boost creativity, or risk burning out. I thought a weekly reminder from Jasmin would keep me on course. The longer I read them, the more I realise that taking time out for creativity is actually taking time out for myself and that's more important than client deliverables. Each weekly letter inspires me to uncover my creative instincts so I thank you for that Jasmin. You never know, I might have a poem in me yet.
