On the Fourth of Frocktober I wore white
Today we dropped my youngest brother off at the airport then drove home, making sure we stopped at the Greek deli on the way back. The sun was shining so the kids played outside for a while. I did some housework. I avoided some housework. Then I worked on some of our upcoming Digital Photography School ebooks and our ProBlogger Training Day event. I made some soup. I burned some soup. It seemed like a good time to take the boys to the park and a walk around the block before coming home to start dinner. Again.
It would have been nice to have done all the above in my jeans. But there’s a reason I wore a frock (ummm okay…skirt) today.
According to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF), “one woman dies every ten hours from ovarian cancer in Australia.”
For many women with ovarian cancer, the disease is already well advanced when they are first diagnosed.
Unfortunately, there is currently no screening test for ovarian cancer.
Frocktober aims to help improve the outlook for women with ovarian cancer by supporting the quest for a suitable early detection test through fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Thanks to your support so far I’m only $110 short of reaching my target of $300. And remember, if you donate $50 or more, the Marketing Ninja (who has helped ProBlogger increase his profits) will donate an hour of his marketing consulting time to you. All I’m asking is this…can you help to spread the word, or make a small donation over on my fundraising page? Meanwhile, I’d love to throw on some jeans and not think about which dress to wear tomorrow or bother taking photos of my clothes. But I’ll keep going…will you encourage me a little?
