I made this sketch one night while I was trying to make sense of the content on my blog. Over the last few years this blog has taken different tangents as my interests and job changed. So I thought I’d show how my life and purpose has changed what appears here, and how the content and structure has an impact of it’s own – still, shaped by the everyday.
This month I’m taking part in NaBloPoMo, which is a challenge to blog daily from your corner of cyberspace. The theme for this November’s NaBloPoMo is blogging for blogging’s sake.
When I think about the theme, I think about un-blogging. Breaking and bending blogging rules. I wonder about the blog as a creative platform.
So today, for the first day of NaBloPoMo my thought is this.
Don’t perform for popularity on your blog.
Write a post shaped by life. Be creative. Do something different. Be surprised. Blog for blogging’s sake.
I’m hoping I can take my own advice this month!
Roll on day two.
